SEL Staff

Our D51 mission is to "Engage, Equip, and Empower our learning community today for a limitless tomorrow!" High school marks our learners transition into adulthood, postsecondary education, and the world of work. As educators, we know that each high school learner has unique talents, strengths, interests, and passions; we seek to design learning experiences that help them find a pathway forward that values and capitalizes on their ability to contribute as a local and global citizen. High school learners are evaluating their strengths, skills, and abilities. 
A classroom environment of trust, equity, and inclusivity is key. Our D51 Learning Model places high value on ensuring each high school learner is engaged in positive relationships with caring adults. District 51 is honored to partner with families and our community support in support of our high school learners as they navigate the pressures of academics, face high-stakes testing, and engage with the challenges of entrance into a competitive job market.
