Grand Junction, CO – The Third Annual District 51 Design Challenge will take place at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, in the Harry Butler Board Room at R-5/Summit, 455 N. 22nd St.

Each year, students participating in the Design Challenge pick a community problem, brainstorm real solutions as a team, and present the resulting ideas to a panel of experts, parents, teachers, peers, and community members. This year’s theme is “Building a Better World” and will focus on innovative thinking and community engagement.

The goals of the Design Challenge include engaging students in meaningful and personally relevant experiences, equipping them with a strong collective voice, and empowering them to create and implement innovative strategies that build a strong community. Prizes will be awarded for each innovative solution.
