Grand Junction, CO - Every first-grader in School District 51 will kick off 2021 with the gift of three free books donated by our Grand Valley Rotary Clubs!

The local clubs are donating a total of 5,650 books across the valley. Boxes of books were delivered to classrooms during the first few days back from Winter Break. While Rotarians are unable to deliver the books themselves to classrooms due to current COVID-19 protocols, they are sharing a video with students talking about Rotary and the donation, and each classroom delivery will come with 30 copies of a letter for students to take home and show their parents.

We would sincerely like to thank the members of the Rotary Clubs that made this generous donation possible. The clubs are led by Area Governor Whittney Smythe-Smith, Rotary Club of Grand Junction President Tami Beard, Horizon Rotary President Andrew Kramer, Redlands President John Kelleher, Fruita President Abby Landmeier, and Palisade President Riley Parker.
