Grand Junction, CO – Irene Almond, coordinator of District 51 programming for English Language Learners, is the 2018 Distinguished Administrator in Support of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Learners!

Each year, one administrator statewide is selected from a large pool of nominees as the Distinguished Administrator in Support of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Learners. The award recognizes educators like Ms. Almond for their commitment to supporting students of all language and cultural backgrounds.

The Colorado Department of Education will present this honor to Ms. Almond at an awards reception Tuesday, May 1, 2018. The awards reception will take place at the 12th Annual Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education Academy in Greenwood Village.
