Fifth graders will build their understanding of the concept of interactions as they learn about their role as literate citizens in our community, our state, our country and our world. While developing their skill in thinking and working interdependently, they will learn to think flexibly, having the capacity to change their minds as they receive additional information. As fifth graders learn the value of changing their thinking, drawing upon a repertoire of problem solving strategies, they will develop into flexible literate citizens who ponder the impact and possibilities of interactions.
