Welcome to School District 51 where we are providing pathways to graduation to ensure student success!
**On March 3, 2020, after a community open-house process to gather input, the Board of Education adopted new boundaries for Fruita area elementary schools to include the newly constructed Monument Ridge.**
Where will my student attend?

Once you have completed the online registration process below, please bring the following information to your school of attendance to complete the enrollment process:
- Birth Certificate
- Immunization record
- Proof of Residency (examples: utility bill, mortgage statement, etc.)

If you do not have an existing ParentVUE account and are new to our district, you will need to create one.
Upon creating your account, an email will be sent with further instructions.

Parents may complete the registration process online for the 2020-2021 school year. Online Registration will be closed for updates from June 4th through July 20th.

If you do not wish to register your student Online, please print and complete the registration packet below and take to your student's school starting July 23rd:

Kindergarten
A child may enter kindergarten if five years old on or before August 31 of the year of enrollment. Younger students who do not meet the District’s entrance age requirement for kindergarten may be accepted if transferring from another public school kindergarten program and if the principal or designee determines that placement of the student in kindergarten is appropriate.
Students enrolling in the first grade may enter if they are six years old on or before August 31 of the year of enrollment. A student who is at least five years old on or before October 1 may be permitted to enroll in first grade if the student attended at least 120 days of kindergarten. Younger students may be accepted if transferring from a first grade in another public school and if the principal or designee determines that placement of the student in first grade is appropriate.
A legal birth certificate or other acceptable records shall be required for enrollment age certification. The principal or designee will make exceptions to these entrance age requirements in accordance with state law pertaining to the education of military children.
